Rowdy the pug and his owner, Linda Yelton, welcome small dogs (under 40 pounds) for overnight and extended stays. Our private home with a fenced yard in Bucknell Manor, two miles south of Old Town Alexandria, is your pet's home away from home.
 |
We take two or more walks a day and our back yard is large enough for lots of play time. Rowdy is obedience trained to set a good example. We encourage good behavior and use ONLY POSITIVE REINFORCMENT. All of our guests are good dogs. |
 |
We are typically crate/cage free. But since some dogs prefer the security of a crate for time-outs, naps and night sleeping, we offer two sizes of well appointed guest crates. Or you can supply your own. There are also several beds and many toys to play with. |
- We require that all pets be immunized. We have a standard form for the pet owner to fill in giving us health and veterinary information, including authorization to take our guest-pet to the emergency veterinarian.
- We require all owners to leave contact information.
- We ask that all pets supply their own food. If not, we feed Nature's Recipe for toy dogs.
- Rates vary, but are typically $30 per night for a 25 pound adult dog that is housebroken and brings its own food. Other animals or pets with other needs will be priced on an individualized basis. And since this is a privately run guest facility, all terms (except health related terms) are negotiable.
- Payment is requested in advance for first-time guests. Payment can be made by cash or PayPal.
